I can't believe it's already the first part of March. I am still wondering what happened to February! We've often heard it said that Texas is the only state where you can have your AC and your heater on in the same day!!
This picture was taken last week at the lake in front of our house, it's my brother (with out the hat) his children (pink life vest and yellow visor) and the neighbors behind us.
My kids are the "shadows" :)

It's HOW cold?!!
We can add being "iced-in" to our list of firsts. The temperature has plummeted from the mid 60-70's to a frigged 31*, factor in the 1.5 inches of rain we received over night and through out the morning and you've got the perfect conditions for ICE!! We had plans to meet with friends in Dallas for dinner tonight to celebrate Michael's 37th birthday which have been post-poned. Were now planning an impromptu gathering at our house for those with-in walking distance!!

Professional/ Interests
I consider my self a professional. One having or showing skill; expert: A person following a profession, especially a learned profession. As a Mother of 4 children, 3 of them Teenagers and one preparing for her High School graduation this spring. I am in every sence of the word a Professional MOM!
I often laugh when people ask me what my interests are.
interest:noun
1: a sense of concern with and curiosity about someone or something;
"Where are my Kids ?"
2: a subject or pursuit that occupies one's time and thoughts;
"Hmm I wonder what my kids are doing?"
3: To be concerned with or engaged in; to affect; to concern; to excite;
"Where in the heck are my KIDS!!"
When our children were younger we longed for the day when we would no longer be awoken at 6:00 AM on a Saturday morning. When we could sleep in, snuggle and get out of bed at our leisure after a long work week. We'll, I am here to report we did get our wish. But, as we have always taught our children there is always a consequence.
Yes, our children now sleep in. In fact as I type this it is 10:45AM on a beautiful Saturday morning. Michael and I have been up for hours (6am old habbits are hard to break!) done two loads of laundry, prepared and eaten breakfast, showered, read the paper and have begun preparations for our trip into town (30 miles round trip you want to make sure you don't have to go back for something you forgot!) What we failed to see was that our wish was twofold. Yes, it is true our children now sleep in, but this is due to the fact that they now stay up until the wee hours of the morning!!

I admit it... I am weak and caved under pressure, the kind of pressure that if I were a lump of coal I would be a diamond by now pressure, but I digress.
Via the countless requests from those of you living in areas other than the Great State of TEXAS and wanting to stay informed of our happenings and the rapid decline of my Sanity! This "blogs" for you!
